The Bangladesh Cricket Board paid tribute to Richard Stonier on Wednesday as he ended his role as the strength and conditioning coach of the national Under 19 team.

Stonier was a well known and much loved figure among Bangladesh’s young cricketers. He played a key role in the team’s success during their historic ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup triumph in South Africa in 2020.

The English coach worked with the Bangladesh Under 19 side in two separate spells. His first stint ran from 2018 to 2022. He returned in 2024 and remained with the team until 2026.
