A new World Cup-inspired song titled ‘Kandari Chol’, featuring musicians Fuad Almuqtadir, Pantha Kanai and Mila Islam along with several international and Bangladeshi artists, was released on 21 June 2026 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, bringing together a diverse group of performers to capture the global football spirit ahead of the FIFA tournament knockout stages.
The project, led by musician Fuad Almuqtadir, marks a continuation of his sports-themed musical work, following earlier attention for his track ‘Char Chokka Hoi Hoi’. This latest release is designed as a football anthem, aimed at reflecting the excitement surrounding the World Cup.
The song features vocals from popular Bangladeshi singers Pantha Kanai and Mila Islam, alongside contributions from Bammy, Sanjana, Nigerian artist Oli Boy and rapper Black Zang. The lyrics have been written collaboratively by Tiger Chowdhury, Mahbub Marshad (Shihab), Oli Boy and Black Zang.
The music video has been directed by Miraz Hossain and produced by Runout Films. It has been released by Bay, under its athletic brand Striker, with additional support from Lal Teer, GP Bangladesh and Vault Studios.
Speaking about the project, Pantha Kanai said football is more than a sport, describing it as an emotional space for millions of people. He added that during the World Cup, the atmosphere of celebration spreads from cities to villages, and the song attempts to capture that collective excitement and passion.
Mila Islam said she was pleased to be part of a vibrant project released for the World Cup, adding that Fuad’s music direction always brings innovation. She noted that the involvement of artists from different genres adds variety to the track and expressed hope that it will enhance the excitement of watching football or spending time with friends.
The song also reflects the wider football culture in Bangladesh, where the World Cup season often transforms streets, rooftops, tea stalls and neighbourhoods into spaces filled with flags, debate and celebration.
