The United States has assured Bangladesh of continued long-term cooperation in the energy sector during a high-level meeting held in Washington, DC.
According to a press release, the two sides also discussed global supply chain challenges and explored ways to enhance technological collaboration in the energy field.
The meeting, held on Wednesday, brought together officials from both countries for detailed discussions on energy security, infrastructure development, and the exchange of modern energy technologies.
Bangladesh was represented by State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit, while the US delegation was led by newly appointed Under Secretary of Energy Kyle Housevitt.
Bangladesh Ambassador to the United States Tareque Md Ariful Islam also attended the meeting.
Officials said the discussions were held in a constructive environment, reflecting mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in the energy sector.
