Ad-Din Hospital authorities have decided to provide a “honourable” compensation package to the families affected by neonatal deaths, citing humanitarian considerations and the overall situation.

Advocate Mohammad Shishir Manir, a senior lawyer of the Supreme Court and representative for the hospital authorities, confirmed the decision to journalists on Sunday. This follows an announcement made by the hospital on Saturday, pledging to stand by the victimised families for life.

Under the announced benefits, immediate family members – including parents, brothers, and sisters – will receive free medical treatment at the hospital for the rest of their lives, although this does not cover the cost of medicines.

Family members will be granted the opportunity to study without tuition fees at educational institutions operated by Ad-Din, provided they meet the admission criteria. The hospital authorities also committed to providing special scholarships or financial assistance for those pursuing higher education.

In addition to health and education benefits, eligible members of the affected families will be given priority for employment within the Ad-Din Group, based on their qualifications.
