Former interim government chief adviser Muhammad Yunus left Dhaka for France on Wednesday morning.
Yunus departed on a Turkish Airlines flight at 6:50am from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, according to airport officials.
It was also confirmed that, while at the airport, he was given VIP protocol.
Yunus stepped down as chief adviser in February after elections in which BNP, led by current Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, won a majority of the seats.
The “Yunus Centre” has been providing information regarding his activities. However, it is worth noting no statement was issued from the Yunus Centre regarding his departure from the country and the purpose of his visit to France.
