The first meeting of the special committee of the 13th national parliament will take place on Tuesday at 11am in the Cabinet Room of the Parliament House.
The meeting will be chaired by the speaker of the national parliament.
Formed on 15 March under the leadership of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, the special parliamentary committee holds significant importance as it will review the 133 ordinances issued during the interim government period.
The committee will evaluate which ordinances should be retained and which should be repealed.
The ordinances were introduced by Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman on the opening day of parliament’s first session on 12 March.
The committee has been tasked with making decisions on these ordinances within 30 working days.
