Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz has earned a big boost in the latest ICC Men’s ODI rankings after his recent form.
He played a key role in the ODI series against Pakistan at home. Bangladesh won the series 2-1. Miraz took five wickets in the three matches and led the side well.
His effort helped him jump nine places in the ODI bowling rankings. He is now joint seventh with 624 rating points.
Miraz also moved up in the all-rounders list. He is now ranked second with 280 rating points.
It is a big rise for the 28-year-old. He was one of the top performers in the series. Other Bangladesh players also improved their rankings.
Tanzid Hasan moved up 31 places to 55th among batters. Litton Das rose 10 spots to 82nd.
Among bowlers, Taskin Ahmed climbed 12 places to 28th. Mustafizur Rahman went up 13 places to 47th. The rankings show Bangladesh’s strong show in the series. Miraz led the way with his all-round display.
