A delegation from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami held a courtesy meeting with US State Department Assistant Secretary Paul Kapur on Thursday morning.
The meeting took place at the residence of the US Ambassador in Dhaka in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere.
The Jamaat team was led by Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, MP, Naib-e-Ameer and also Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Jatiya Sangsad.
Other members of the delegation included Assistant Secretary General and Opposition Whip Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, MP; Central Executive Committee member Saiful Alam Khan, MP; and Mir Ahmed Bin Quasem, MP, who serves as special adviser to the Jamaat ameer on foreign affairs.
