BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has stated that the party will not accept the election results if any “unwanted incidents” or confusion arise during the voting process.
Speaking to journalists in on Thursday, the BNP leader emphasised that the party would have no objections to accepting any outcome, provided the election is conducted fairly, neutrally, and without controversy.
Earlier in the day, Tarique Rahman cast his vote at Gulshan Model School and later visited several polling centres across the capital.
After his visits, he expressed satisfaction with the voter turnout in Dhaka while speaking to the media at his office in Gulshan.
Regarding the vote counting process, Tarique Rahman noted that there should be no delays, as there is a set timeframe for announcing the results.
He added that the BNP expects the Election Commission to ensure the swift publication of the results to the public.
