Narail marked the Youth Festival on Saturday, by launching a five-day Tchoukball training and competition programme at Bir Sreshtha Shaheed Noor Mohammad Stadium, organised by the Narail District Sports Association with support from the Bangladesh Tchoukball Association.
Al Amin, a member of the Narail District Sports Association’s ad hoc committee, attended as chief guest. National team player and course instructor Md Azizul Hakim Munna led the technical side alongside physical education teachers from participating institutions.
Munna framed Tchoukball as more than just a game. He said, “Tchoukball is a team sport that builds physical ability, mental focus and a sense of cooperation,” a claim that fits neatly with the festival’s youth-first agenda.
He pushed the point further by stressing long-term impact. “Such training will help develop leadership qualities among young people while creating positive recreational opportunities,” he added, and the structure of the programme backs that ambition.
The initiative sits within a wider national push. The Bangladesh Tchoukball Association continues to roll out training, competitions and environmental awareness activities across multiple districts to give the sport a stronger grassroots base.
