The electoral atmosphere in the Chuadanga-2 constituency has become vibrant, with candidates actively engaging with voters following the allocation of symbols.
From dawn until late at night, aspirants are conducting door-to-door visits, courtyard meetings, and street rallies to offer various pledges of development and problem-solving.
The constituency, which encompasses Jibannagar and Damurhuda upazilas along with the Titudah and Begumpur unions of Chuadanga Sadar, is currently witnessing a surge in processions and microphone-based campaigning.
Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu, the nominee for the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and President of Chuadanga District BNP, is maintaining a steady campaign presence across the unions and wards of Jibannagar and Damurhuda.
Simultaneously, the Jamaat-e-Islami candidate and District Jamaat Ameer, Md Ruhul Amin, has been conducting his campaign activities starting after Fajr prayers. His efforts include exchanging views with brick kiln workers in Damurhuda upazila and holding various seminars and meetings.
Furthermore, Sajeeb Ahmed, representing Islami Andolan with the ‘hand fan’ symbol, is conducting courtyard meetings alongside party activists across several unions.
While candidates are busy making promises, local voters have indicated they are looking to elect honest and qualified representatives rather than simply being swayed by campaign rhetoric.
