BNP launched its official theme song on Wednesday for the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election campaign.
The song was formally inaugurated by the party’s Senior Joint General Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi during a ceremony held at Hotel Lakeshore in Gulsha, Dhaka.
It has been crafted by weaving together several of the party’s popular election slogans. Key phrases incorporated into the composition include “Vote deben kishe? Dhaner shishe” (Where will you vote? For the sheaf of paddy) and “Shobar age Bangladesh” (Bangladesh first).
Addressing the event, Rizvi stated that just as the nucleus of an atom binds protons, electrons, and neutrons with a powerful force, BNP is founded on an equally strong state philosophy – “Bangladeshi nationalism” – which is symbolised by the sheaf of paddy.
He further asserted that just as prime minister Sheikh Hasina had been unable to erase this symbol, no one else would succeed in doing so. “The sheaf of paddy is deeply embedded in the hearts of the people,” Rizvi remarked.
