Saiful Haque, general secretary of Bangladesh’s Revolutionary Workers Party of Bangladesh and the candidate supported by the BNP-backed Joint Movement Alliance in Dhaka-12, paid a courtesy visit to BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman on Sunday.
The meeting took place at the BNP chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka.
During the discussion, they exchanged views on the country’s political situation, the upcoming election, and measures to strengthen democracy.
Haque also offered condolences and sympathy over the death of former BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and recalled political events associated with her.
Earlier, he had signed the condolence book placed at the Gulshan office.
Members of Revolutionary Workers Party of Bangladesh’s political council, including Bahnisikha Jamali and Akbar Khan were also present at the meeting.
