United Finance PLC has partnered with the Bangladesh Cancer Aid Trust (BANCAT) to support its cancer care home, Mosabbir Alok Nibash.
BANCAT, a non-profit organisation, provides financial assistance for medical treatment and holistic care to cancer patients across the country, according to a press release.
The organisation currently operates two Mosabbir Alok Nibash facilities in Dhaka, offering safe and affordable accommodation for patients undergoing treatment.
Under the initiative, United Finance will sponsor the stay of patients residing at Mosabbir Alok Nibash, aiming to ease the financial and emotional burden faced by families during cancer treatment.
Commenting on the partnership, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, managing director of United Finance PLC, praised BANCAT’s efforts, saying “United Finance prioritises impact over profit. We are proud to support the holistic initiatives BANCAT is undertaking to ensure cancer care reaches marginalised communities. Through efforts like these, people can find hope even in the face of cancer.”
