The Advisory Council has decided that the government will ensure uninterrupted treatment for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at the hospital and, if necessary, make arrangements to send her abroad.
The council, led by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, held a special meeting at the state guest house Jamuna on Tuesday.
The meeting offered prayers and well-wishes for the quick recovery of the BNP chairperson and former three-time prime minister. It also called upon the nation to pray for her recovery.
Considering her current physical condition, the meeting further decided to facilitate her security and transportation. The council also decided to declare her a “Very Very Important Person (VVIP)” of the state in recognition of her high status.
Relevant authorities have been instructed to implement these decisions immediately.
The Zia family and the party have been informed of this matter.
