The University of Dhaka has temporarily suspended five security guards for negligence while on duty, the university confirmed on Thursday.
The suspended guards are Md Shah Alam (IER), Md Selim (IER), Md Songram Hossain (Main gate, Faculty of Fine Arts), Md Safikul Islam (Department of Nutrition and Food Science), and Md Ali Ahmed (Rear gate, Karzon Hall).
According to an official notice from the Public Relations Office, the Proctorial Security Mobile Team observed the guards’ negligence during a routine inspection on the night of 11 November, between 10pm and 6am, at their respective posts.
