A suicide attack on a security institution has killed a civilian and at least eight Pakistani security personnel in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, local police confirmed on Friday.
The targeted attack occurred on Thursday night when an explosives-laden vehicle attempted to enter a scout’s camp in the Bajaur district, which borders Afghanistan, reports Anadolu Agency.
According to police, 35 other security personnel were wounded in the blast. The explosion also caused significant damage to the gate and surrounding walls of the scout’s camp.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
