The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) has published a notice for second-round migration and admission from the waiting list to MBBS and BDS courses at government medical and dental colleges for the 2025–26 academic session.
According to the notice, admission and related activities for 68 candidates selected from the waiting list will be conducted from Monday until 24 February.
The notice was signed by Professor Md Mohiuddin Matubbar, Director (Medical Education) of the Directorate General of Medical Education.
It said that, based on the published results of the 2025–26 MBBS and BDS admission test, the second round of migration has been completed automatically in line with existing rules. The process was carried out using information submitted through completed online migration forms by students already admitted to medical colleges, dental colleges and units.
Following completion of automatic migration from the waiting list, 68 students have been provisionally nominated for admission against vacant seats in government medical colleges, dental colleges and units. College allocation has been determined on the basis of merit, order of preference and seat availability.
Students who have been granted migration must contact the office of the principal of their currently admitted college and complete all formalities for transfer and admission to the migrated college between 16 and 24 February.
Failure to complete the migration process within the stipulated time will result in cancellation of studentship at both institutions.
Students selected for admission from the waiting list have been instructed to contact the office of the principal of the respective medical college, dental college or unit between 16 and 24 February to complete the admission process.
Local admission committees and medical boards formed by the principals of the concerned institutions will verify original academic documents and conduct medical examinations of applicants.
All other terms and conditions of admission, as outlined in the original admission notice issued by the Directorate, will remain unchanged. Students admitted through migration and from the waiting list may submit online migration applications until 24 February.
At the time of admission, provisionally selected candidates must submit the following documents:
- Admission test admit card for the 2025–26 MBBS and BDS session
- Original HSC or equivalent examination registration card
- Academic transcripts/mark sheets of SSC or equivalent and HSC or equivalent examinations, along with original pass certificates and testimonials
- Original citizenship certificate issued by the mayor of the city corporation, municipal chairman, union parishad chairman or ward commissioner
- Four copies of recently taken attested passport-size colour photographs
For candidates from hill districts: certificate issued by the circle chief and district administrator; for non-indigenous candidates: certificate issued by the circle chief or district administrator; and for indigenous candidates from other districts: certificate issued by the tribal chief and the respective district administrator
The lists of students selected through migration and from the waiting list are available on the websites of the DGME (www.dgme.gov.bd) and the Directorate General of Health Services (www.dghs.gov.bd).
In addition, selected candidates will be informed via SMS from Teletalk number 01550155555.
