Police have arrested 57 people allegedly involved in various crimes in an operation conducted by the Tejgaon division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
DMP Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations Niaz Mehedi disclosed the information in a press release issued on Wednesday.
According to the release, the arrests were made under six police stations under the Tejgaon division.
Of the arrested, six were from Tejgaon Police Station, four from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, 25 from Mohammadpur Police Station, six from Adabar Police Station, six from Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station and 10 from Hatirjheel Police Station.
Police said legal proceedings had been initiated against the arrested individuals and they were sent to court.
