The Bangladesh Public Service Commission has announced the results of the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) written examinations, with 3,631 candidates successfully passing the test.

The information was announced Tuesday in a press release signed by Masuma Afrin, Controller of Examinations (Cadre) at the Commission. The successful candidates will now be eligible to appear for the viva voce (oral) examinations.

The written examinations for the 47th BCS were conducted between 27 November and 18 December last year, across eight divisional cities- Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chattogram, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh. The exams for technical and professional cadres concluded on 18 December.

The 47th BCS preliminary (MCQ) examination was held on 19 September, 2025, in the same eight cities, with results published on 28 September. A total of 10,644 candidates passed the preliminary stage.
