Three people suffered burn injuries in an apparent gas pipeline explosion in Boroitala area of Keraniganj on Friday.
The injured were identified as Rakib, 14, Rajon, 25, and Sumon, 27.
According to witnesses, the explosion occurred at the residence of Arif Mia on Friday night while the victims were repairing a gas pipeline, leaving them injured.
They were later taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery at around 5:30am, said the institute’s Resident Medical Officer Shaon Bin Rahman.
Of the injured, Rakib sustained 17 per cent burns, doctors said.
