At least 17 people were killed and dozens injured Tuesday night as Israel launched strikes across Lebanon.
Six died and 24 were wounded in Beirut, according to the Health Ministry. In southern Lebanon, three were killed in Haboush, with eight still missing, while four Syrians died in nearby Jebchit, reports CNN.
Four more were killed in Baalbek in the Beqaa Valley.
Israel said the attacks targeted Hezbollah’s “rocket launching cells.” Lebanese authorities report more than 850 killed and over 1 million displaced since the conflict began.
