Twelve crew members of Biman Bangladesh Airlines who were stranded in Doha, Qatar, for 13 days due to the ongoing Middle East conflict have finally returned home.
The group, comprising 10 cabin crew members and two cockpit crew, had been stuck in Doha since 27 February after operating a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight to the Qatari capital. They remained there for nearly a fortnight as the regional war disrupted normal travel operations.
The crew began their journey back on Tuesday, flying from Qatar to Muscat, Oman, on Qatar Airways flight QR1148. From Muscat, they boarded Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-722, which landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:50 pm on Tuesday.
On arrival, the crew expressed relief at returning home after days of uncertainty. Leaders of the Biman Bangladesh Cabin Crew Union welcomed them at the airport with flowers.
