Yash-starrer action thriller Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is set to hit cinemas on 26 August after securing an ‘A’ certificate from India’s Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
According to NDTV, the CBFC’s Bengaluru regional office certified the film on 13 August 2026. The certification records list Toxic as a Kannada-language film with a certified length of 194.12 metres.
The official synopsis follows a gangster struggling with loyalty, morality and redemption in post-independence Goa, where violence and jealousy shape his world. The film combines intense action with morally conflicted characters while exploring the sacrifices linked to love and the search for redemption.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. Mohandas also directed the film, which was written and filmed in Kannada and English.
The film will also arrive in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
Yash leads an ensemble cast featuring Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
