Global smartphone brand vivo is preparing to launch its upcoming Y500 model in Bangladesh, featuring a pearl-inspired design focus and a lifestyle-oriented presentation, according to a press release said. The device is being positioned as a blend of aesthetics and technology, with emphasis on design craftsmanship, colour options and personalised user experience.
The announcement was made in Dhaka on 5 July 2026, highlighting the Y500’s design language, camera module styling and premium finish, alongside a promotional collaboration with MINISO aimed at enhancing consumer engagement ahead of pre-bookings.
The vivo Y500 will feature a Nebula Window Camera Module design inspired by a spacecraft porthole, with floating camera lenses, a metallic frame and a satin matte back panel produced through a dual-plating process intended to improve grip and reduce fingerprints. It will be available in two colour variants, Pearl White and Midnight Blue.
Pearl White is described as offering a soft pearl-like glow with subtle shimmer, while Midnight Blue draws inspiration from the night sky, delivering a deeper, more contemporary aesthetic. The device will also feature an ultra-thin bezel display with a 94.47% screen-to-body ratio, aimed at providing an immersive viewing experience.
The phone is designed as both a functional device and a style accessory, intended to integrate into everyday lifestyle settings such as office use, travel and social content creation.
As part of the launch campaign, vivo has partnered with MINISO to offer a pre-booking package starting 8 July. Customers who pre-book the Y500 will receive a Penpen doll, a phone cover, exclusive stickers and access to a DIY phone case experience.
The company said the collaboration reflects its focus on combining premium smartphone design with personalised lifestyle experiences, positioning the Y500 as a fashionable companion for modern users.
