The United States has completed its eighth consecutive night of military strikes targeting Iran, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM).
During the latest operation, US forces targeted members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard who were believed to be responsible for Friday’s attack on a military base in Jordan that left at least two US soldiers dead, CENTCOM said, reports CBS News.
The command also said that the operation “successfully hit Iranian military coastal surveillance and air defense facilities, maritime capabilities, and missile and drone storage sites to continue degrading Iranian military capabilities.”
According to CENTCOM, the latest round of strikes concluded at approximately 11:30 pm ET.
