Police have detained three people following an attack and vandalism at New Gini Properties and the studio of content creator Salman Muqtadir at ECB Chattar in Dhaka.
The detainees were picked up from the spot on Saturday night, though police did not initially disclose their identities.
Cantonment Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Gias Uddin confirmed the matter on Sunday, adding that a legal case regarding the incident is currently under process.
He noted that the three are being interrogated, and operations are ongoing to arrest other accused.
OC Gias Uddin said the destruction was not limited to Salman’s studio, as extensive damage was also inflicted on New Gini Properties.
Assistant Commissioner Nazmul Haque said a dispute exists between two factions over land at the property.
“One party, unable to access their land, brought a group of people who then carried out the vandalism. Salman’s studio was inadvertently caught in the middle of the dispute between the two opposing groups,” he added.
