The Iran government has preliminarily estimated that joint attacks by the United States and Israel have resulted in damages totalling approximately $270 billion.
Speaking to Russian media, government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani stated that the initial assessment places the cost of the conflict at roughly $270b. The figure was also reported by the Tasnim News Agency, which is closely affiliated with the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Mohajerani noted that Iranian authorities are still in the process of evaluating the full scale of the destruction. The current estimate encompasses the physical cost of destroyed buildings as well as the loss of revenue resulting from the closure of various industrial plants.
According to the state news agency IRNA, the Iranian government raised the matter of compensation during negotiations with the United States held last week.
In a related development, US Vice President JD Vance remarked that while “important discussions” were held in Pakistan, no formal agreement has been reached.
