US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has extended congratulations to the people of Bangladesh on Independence Day, reiterating Washington’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations and partnership.
In a press statement, Rubio said, “On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Bangladesh on your Independence Day.”
“This commemoration arrives as Bangladesh begins a new chapter in its history, following recent elections,” he said.
Rubio noted that the US values its longstanding partnership with Bangladesh, anchored in a shared vision for a free, open, secure, and prosperous Indo-Pacific.
“We look forward to strengthening our economic and security partnership for the benefit of both of our people,” he added.
“As Bangladesh celebrates this momentous occasion, the US remains committed to deepening our relationship and sends its warmest regards,” Rubio said.
