The newly appointed US Ambassador to Bangladesh, Brent Christensen, and the Canadian High Commissioner, Ajit Singh, have met with BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman.
Canadian High Commissioner Ajit Singh met Tarique at the BNP Chairman’s office in Gulshan on Monday morning, followed shortly by the new US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen in the afternoon.
Present during the meetings were BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, party Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Advisers to the Chairman Humayun Kabir and Mahdi Amin, Press Secretary to the Chairman Saleh Shibli, and officials from the American embassy and Canadian high commission respectively.
Tarique Rahman and the foreign officials exchanged views on matters of mutual interest to their respective countries, according to BNP officials.
