Supermarket chain Unimart Limited held its “Unimart Cricket Fiesta 2026”, with its Centrepoint team emerging as the champion after defeating defending champion Wari outlet in the final.
The two-day tournament brought together employees from outlets and head office, featuring eight teams competing in a series of matches, the company said in a press release.
The event was organised to strengthen teamwork, build interpersonal connections, and promote work-life balance through sports and recreation.
Participants displayed strong competitive spirit and energy, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the tournament.
Unilever Surf Excel Expert White powered the event, while United Medical College and Hospital acted as medical partner and United International University served as venue partner.
The company said the tournament also aimed to reinforce collaboration and organisational culture among employees.
Unimart added that such initiatives help foster unity and engagement within its workforce while encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle.
