University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) held a three-day Earth Day celebration from 20 April to 22, bringing together students, faculty members, and national and international experts, the university said in a press release.
The programme included a series of sessions and activities, including two seminars held on 21 April 21 focusing on sustainability and future challenges.
The first seminar, titled “Preparing for Global Careers in the Era of Artificial Intelligence,” was delivered by East China Normal University Associate Professor Zheng Li.
It focused on equipping students with skills required for an artificial intelligence-driven global job market.
The second seminar, titled “Government Guarantee: Catalyst for the Success of Investment and Financing Renewable Power Projects in Bangladesh,” was presented by PowerChina Bangladesh Country Head and Chinese Enterprise Association in Bangladesh President Han Kun.
It highlighted the role of policy support and financing in advancing renewable energy investment in Bangladesh.
University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh Vice Chancellor Professor Shamsad Mortuza said the initiative reflects the university’s commitment to fostering global dialogue and empowering students to address environmental and technological challenges.
The celebration aligned with Earth Day observed annually on April 22 and reaffirmed
