Universal College Bangladesh (UCBD), the exclusive partner of Monash College, has welcomed its second intake of Monash College Diploma students for 2026 at an orientation programme held at its Gulshan campus, the institution said in a press release.
The event, held on 22 June, brought together newly enrolled students and their parents. The latest intake is the second for this year and the 15th since UCBD was established in 2021.
Professor Muhammad Ismail Hossain, Provost of UCBD, and S Azra Karim, Official In-Country Manager (Bangladesh) for Monash University, Australia, welcomed students and their families and outlined the programme’s academic structure and international opportunities.
The Monash College Diploma programme is offered in Business, Engineering and Information Technology. According to the press release, it is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree at Monash University and provides students with a guaranteed pathway to progress directly into the second year of a bachelor’s degree at Monash University in Australia or Malaysia.
S Azra Karim said the programme gives Bangladeshi students access to a global curriculum while studying in their home country, helping them develop the academic skills and international exposure needed before transferring to Monash campuses overseas.
Professor Muhammad Ismail Hossain said UCBD remains committed to providing students with the same rigorous academic experience offered at Monash University campuses in Malaysia and Australia.
The orientation concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, enabling students and parents to engage directly with faculty members ahead of the new academic year, according to the press release.
