United Commercial Bank (UCB) emerged champion of the Bankers’ Futsal Championship 2026, defeating City Bank in the final of the tournament organised by Bankers Club of Bangladesh Limited (BCBL).
The grand finale and prize-giving ceremony took place at Bashundhara Sports City in Dhaka on Saturday, bringing together senior banking executives and professionals from across the sector.
UCB received Tk3 lakh in prize money and the championship trophy, while City Bank received Tk2 lakh and the runners-up trophy.
Mutual Trust Bank won the Plate Championship title.
Association of Bankers, Bangladesh Chairman and City Bank Managing Director & CEO Mashrur Arefin attended the event as the chief guest.
He said initiatives promoting teamwork, leadership and professional networking help strengthen collaboration within the banking sector.
BCBL President Md Rashed Aktar said the tournament served as a platform to strengthen camaraderie and professional ties among bankers.
BCBL General Secretary Rashid-Un-Nabi said the event was successfully organised with support from participating banks and sponsors, adding that the tournament would continue on a larger scale in future.
Managing directors and senior executives from different banks, alongside club members, players and team managers, attended the event.
The bankers’ futsal tournament concluded with the presentation of trophies, crests and prize money to the winning teams.
