At least two people are missing after a Cumilla-bound trawler capsized at Shyambazar Ghat in Sadarghat area of the capital on being hit by a launch.
The accident occurred when the launch, Sundarban-12, reportedly collided with the trawler.
Information regarding the incident was received at 09:30am, and emergency responders reached the site by 09:50am.
A unit from Sadarghat River Fire Station is currently conducting rescue operations to locate the missing individuals.
