Two motorcyclists were killed after a train hit their bike at a level crossing in the Pubail area of Gazipur on Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as Sajib Mia, 40, son of late Ashraf Ali of Mridha Bari area in Pubail, and Sheikh Habib Bappi, 35, son of Abul Kashem of Satanipara area in Gazipur.
The accident occurred around 9:30 pm at the Pubail rail crossing on the Tongi–Ghorashal road, said Pubail Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Atikul Islam under Gazipur Metropolitan Police.
A Dhaka-bound Mahanagar Express train collided with the motorbike while it was crossing the railway line, leaving both riders dead on the spot.
After the accident, relatives of the victims took the bodies home, the OC added.
