The government has set new office hours and weekly holidays for government and private offices to address the power and energy crisis resulting from the ongoing tensions and war in the Middle East.
From Sunday, government and private offices will run from 9am to 4pm. Additionally, private offices will also observe weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday, like government offices.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Saturday in this regard. Earlier on Thursday, the cabinet approved the proposal.
The notification stated that from 5 April, all government and private offices will operate from 9am to 4pm (Sunday to Thursday) until further notice. Friday and Saturday will be weekly holidays.
