A four-member delegation from Türkiye-based Sozler Publication met University of Dhaka (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof ABM Obaidul Islam at his office on Sunday to discuss strengthening joint education and research between the university and higher education institutions in Türkiye.
The delegation, led by Sozler Publication Managing Director Davut Sislioglu, also invited the vice-chancellor to attend the 13th International Bediuzzaman Symposium, titled ‘Qur’anic Solutions for Global Crises’, in Türkiye in October, the university said in a press release.
The Istanbul Foundation for Knowledge and Culture will organise the symposium.
The delegation later presented Obaidul Islam with Risale-i Nur Samagra, a commentary on the Holy Quran translated by Islamic thinker Bediuzzaman Said Nursi and published by Sozler Publication.
The vice-chancellor thanked the delegation for the invitation and the book.
