Deepal S05, a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle priced at Tk52 lakh excluding registration, has officially entered the Bangladesh market.
The model was launched on Friday at the Deepal Bangladesh showroom at Rangs Babylonia in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

The hybrid SUV combines a 4-cylinder 16-valve VVT plug-in hybrid engine with an electric motor delivering 160/218 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. Powered by a 27.28 kWh battery, it offers a claimed driving range of 1,234 kilometres on a full tank and full charge.
The vehicle features Advanced Driver-Assistance System, a 540-degree camera view, Remote Straight In & Out auto-parking and an intelligent noise-free cabin. Safety systems are supported by multiple sensor-based driving and control modules, the release said.
Inside, the SUV includes synthetic leather seats, a 15.4-inch sunflower touchscreen, a multifunction steering wheel, front passenger gravity seat and a 14-speaker sound system. Additional features include rear AC vents and a panoramic glass roof with electric sunshade.
The S05 will be available in Moonlight White, Deep Space Black, Andromeda Blue, Mercury Silver and Ganymede Gray at DHS Autos outlets in Dhaka and Chattogram.
DHS Autos has set up charging stations in 22 locations across Bangladesh and will provide free home charger installation with every purchase. The vehicle comes with an eight-year warranty on the electric motor and battery, a five-year general warranty with terms and three years of free servicing.
DHS Autos Divisional Director Shoeb Ahmed said the model is positioned for the country’s growing new energy vehicle segment.
“The Deepal S05 offers young tech-savvy customers performance, comfort and a future-ready driving experience,” he said.
Changan Southeast Asia Sales Manager Du Kaijian said the launch marked a strategic expansion in Bangladesh’s electric mobility market.
“We are offering premium features at an accessible price without compromising quality, performance or design,” he said.
The launch event was attended by Changan Southeast Asia Vice President Design Guan Xin, Changan Southeast Asia Sales Manager Du Kaijian, DHS Autos Divisional Director Shoeb Ahmed, DHS Autos Chief Operating Officer Shihab Ahmed and DHS Autos Head of Sales Alfat Hossain Khan.
