TikTok removed more than 1.53 crore videos in Bangladesh in the last quarter of 2025, with nearly all detected automatically before users reported them.
The removals took place between October and December, with 15,392,129 videos taken down for violating community guidelines, the platform said in its enforcement report released on April 19.
Of the total, 99.9 per cent were identified proactively and 98.4 per cent were removed within 24 hours, indicating stronger use of automated moderation tools.
The platform said most removals were linked to content that did not comply with safety, integrity and user protection standards.
About 21.2 per cent of removed videos contained sensitive or mature content, while 9.1 per cent violated safety and civility rules, including abusive or harmful behaviour.
Another 1.2 per cent breached privacy and security guidelines, while 1.6 per cent were flagged as misinformation and 1.8 per cent as edited or artificial intelligence-generated content that could mislead users.
Globally, TikTok removed 175,302,085 videos during the quarter, or about 0.5 per cent of all uploads.
Of those, 152,580,933 were detected through automated systems, while 8,360,780 were later reinstated after review.
The proactive removal rate stood at 99.1 per cent, with 93.4 per cent of flagged content removed within 24 hours.
The platform also removed 147,716,518 fake accounts and 23,875,879 accounts suspected to belong to users under 13.
Comment removals fell to 218,793,572 from 459,369,702 in the previous quarter as TikTok shifted to restricting inappropriate comments before they appear.
The company said the enforcement reflects efforts to reduce harmful content, limit misinformation, protect user privacy and improve overall platform safety through faster detection and stricter controls.
