Three motorcyclists were killed in a road accident on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj road at Raniganj in Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur on Saturday morning.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Kaiyum Mushfique, 30, son of Al Amin; Saikat, son of Salim Uddin; and Al Amin, 38, son of Mosharraf Hossain.
All three were construction workers from the area.
Police said the accident occurred around 9am when a speeding truck rammed into a motorcycle carrying the victims as they were heading towards Kalabari.
One person died on the spot, while two others were injured.
Ghoraghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahidul Islam said one of the injured died on the way to hospital, while another succumbed after being admitted.
Police later seized the truck involved in the accident, but the driver managed to flee the scene and could not be arrested.
