Three more children died with measles-like symptoms in the 24 hours to 8am on Tuesday, raising the combined number of confirmed and suspected measles-related deaths across the country to 828.
All three of the latest fatalities were classified as suspected measles deaths, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The number of suspected measles deaths has now risen to 733, while the laboratory-confirmed death toll remains unchanged at 95.
During the same 24-hour period, 799 new suspected measles cases were reported, taking the cumulative number of suspected cases nationwide to 1,25,544.
The country also recorded 105 new laboratory-confirmed measles cases, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 15,660.
Since 15 March, a total of 1,08,441 patients with suspected measles have been admitted to hospitals across the country. Of them, 1,04,235 have recovered, according to DGHS data.
