After more than a decade away from playback singing, Salman Khan has picked up the microphone again for a lively romantic number from his upcoming film ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’.
According to Bollywood Hungama, titled ‘Teri Sexy Beauty’, the track arrived on 4 November through the Salman Khan Films Music YouTube channel.
It features Salman alongside Chitrangda Singh, who plays his wife in the film. The song also marks the actors’ first on-screen pairing.
The music video opens with Salman entering a recording studio and singing into a microphone. Chitrangda appears in a red sari, playing the guitar. The visuals then shift to an aeroplane hangar, where she and dancers dressed as air hostesses perform.
Salman also dances with a group of men portrayed as fellow soldiers enjoying some time off before joining Chitrangda on the dance floor.
Sajid Khan wrote and composed the song, which also features Muskaan on female vocals. The playful track marks Salman’s first playback release since ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ from the 2015 film ‘Hero’. He previously sang ‘Hangover’ for the 2014 film ‘Kick’.
‘Teri Sexy Beauty’ is the fifth song released from ‘Maatrubhumi’. The album also includes the title track, a patriotic number composed by Himesh Reshammiya, written by Sameer Anjaan and sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh.
Other tracks include ‘Main Hoon’, ‘Chand Dekh Lena’ and ‘Jai Hind’, the latter featuring Stebin Ben.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Salman Khan Films, ‘Maatrubhumi’ draws inspiration from the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley of eastern Ladakh.
The project was initially titled ‘Battle of Galwan’ before being renamed ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’.
The film has yet to receive a new theatrical release date. It was originally scheduled to arrive in April 2026, but reports suggest that the makers reshot portions of the project to introduce a family-drama element. The film is also awaiting its screening before the Central Board of Film Certification.
