BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has held a virtual meeting with the Trump administration of the United States.

The meeting took place on Friday, starting at 9am and concluding at 9:30am. He participated in the session from his residence in Gulshan.

The US delegation was led by United States Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer.

Other officials in attendance included Assistant US Trade Representative for South and Central Asia Brendan Lynch and Director for the same region Emily Ashby.

Humayun Kabir, BNP joint secretary general and member of the International Affairs Committee, was also present during the meeting.

The discussion focused on detailed matters regarding bilateral trade between Bangladesh and the United States, mutual tariff rates, and future economic cooperation.
