Popular actor Tanjin Tisha has been granted bail in a case filed over allegations of fraud and breach of trust involving a saree worth Tk28,800.
Tisha appeared before Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jewel Rana on Thursday and sought bail.
After hearing arguments, the court granted her bail.
According to the case documents, Md Aminul Islam, an executive of Aponia Fashion, filed the case against Tisha at a Dhaka court on 5 November 2025.
The complaint alleges that Tisha took a saree worth around Tk28,800 from the online fashion page Aponia.
She allegedly promised to promote the saree and pay for it but later stopped communicating with the page administrator, Aminul Islam.
Aminul subsequently filed the case against the actor, accusing her of fraud and breach of trust.
After recording the complainant’s statement, the court directed the Detective Branch (DB) of police to investigate the allegations and submit a report.
Following the investigation, police recently submitted a report to the court, stating that they had found preliminary evidence supporting the allegations against Tisha.
The court subsequently took the report into consideration and issued a summons ordering her to appear on 12 July.
As part of the legal proceedings, Tisha appeared before the court on Thursday and sought bail.
Following the hearing, the court granted her bail.
