The ambassadors of Brazil and Switzerland to Bangladesh paid separate courtesy calls on BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman on Sunday.
The meetings were held at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan, where the envoys exchanged views with the party leadership on the country’s overall situation and the prevailing environment ahead of the 13th national parliamentary election, party sources said.
BNP Joint Secretary General and member of the BNP Chairperson’s Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee Humayun Kabir was present at both meetings.
Party leaders said the discussions reflected continued international interest in Bangladesh’s political landscape and the electoral process.
