Riding on the massive success of ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle’, Star Cineplex is set to bring another Japanese blockbuster for anime fans in Bangladesh titled ‘Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc’.
The film, based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s hit manga Chainsaw Man, is a dark fantasy action story exploring love, betrayal and identity, where humanity collides with the world of demons.
Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, who served as the action director and episode director in the first season, the film has already created a storm in Japan, holding the No. 1 spot at the box office for four consecutive weeks since its release on September 19, and grossed nearly $1 billion in its opening week alone.
Following Japan’s success, the movie will be released internationally on October 24, including a simultaneous release in Bangladesh, the US and several other countries.
At its core, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc tells the emotional and violent tale of Denji, a devil hunter known as Chainsaw Man, who finds himself torn between duty and emotion after meeting a mysterious woman named Reze.
What begins as a tender love story soon spirals into chaos as Reze’s true identity and motives unfold, leading to an epic battle between love and destruction.
Star Cineplex officials said that, inspired by the overwhelming response to Demon Slayer, they expect Chainsaw Man to attract huge crowds.
“We’ve already received several advance ticket requests from anime enthusiasts,” Star Cineplex authority stated. However, the management also cautioned that certain intense and violent scenes may not be suitable for children and young teens.
With its gripping storyline, stunning animation and cult following worldwide, Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc promises to continue the anime wave that Demon Slayer started. This time, with even sharper blades and deeper emotions.
