Six more children have died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, although no deaths from confirmed measles infection were recorded during this period, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Tuesday.

The new fatalities bring the total number of deaths to 594.

According to DGHS data, covering the period from 8 am Monday to 8 am Tuesday, the number of confirmed measles deaths stands at 90, while 504 children have died showing measles symptoms.

In the last 24 hours, 42 confirmed measles infections were identified, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 9,136.

Additionally, 1,292 children showed measles symptoms during the same period, raising the total number of suspected infections to 73,362.
