Social Welfare Adviser Sharmin S Murshid strongly denounced the attack on Nurul Haque Nur, describing the act as utterly unacceptable.
“A specialized medical board has been set up to closely monitor the health of Nurul Haque Nur and other injured members of his party. The government is keeping a round-the-clock watch to ensure they receive top-quality medical care,” she said.
Sharmin made the remarks during her visit to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where she met Nurul Haque Nur, president of Gana Adhikar Parishad, along with other injured party members. She personally inquired about their medical conditions.
In her dual role as adviser on Women and Children Affairs, she instructed doctors to provide the highest level of treatment and care to all injured individuals. She also noted that, if required, patients would be sent abroad to receive advanced medical attention.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital Director Brig Gen Md Asaduzzaman, along with senior hospital doctors, accompanied Sharmin during the visit.
