Dhallywood megastar Shakib Khan is set to dominate the big screen this Eid-ul-Adha with his much-anticipated film Rockstar, which has already become one of the most talked-about releases of the festive season.
Directed by Ajman Russo, the film has entered its final phase of promotion, with large billboards now appearing in district towns across the country following the release of its teaser and posters.
The actor recently shared a striking new poster on social media, presenting a dramatic departure from his usual on-screen image. In the visual, Shakib Khan is seen in a bold “rockstar” avatar, seated inside a vehicle with a burning door.
He appears with dreadlocks, black sunglasses, a black sleeveless vest, three-quarter denim trousers and red trainers, while his heavily tattooed arms add to the intense visual aesthetic. He is also shown holding an electric guitar in his left hand, from which flames are seen erupting.
Sharing the poster, the actor wrote: “Not all hands hold guitars. Some hands cause revolutions! Rockstar”.
According to the production team, the film is expected to portray the rise, struggles and eventual downfall of a rock musician.
Alongside Shakib Khan, the cast includes Sabila Nur, Tangia Zaman Mithila and Sunidhi Nayak, who have already generated attention with glimpses of their roles.
As Eid approaches, Rockstar has emerged as one of the most widely discussed films among the several releases scheduled for the festive period, positioning itself at the centre of this year’s Eid cinema battle.
